I just completed a colon cleanse with a kit from Blessed Herbs with laxative herbs, psyillium and powdered bentonite. My skin has been cleared and I feel more energetic after the cleanse and now, I've also been eating better with high fiber diet and lots of clean water.
I was quite regular prior to the cleanse with 1 bowel movement every day. After the cleanse, I am regular but frequently get 2-3 BMs a day. Problem is, I cannot understand why my stools are now so much thinner, but long. Prior to the cleanse, I had fatter, shorter stools.
Is there a chance that the psyllium/bentonite got stuck in my intestines or some other obstruction? I've also done a couple of enemas but my stools remain thin ( around 3/4 inch ) and long. I'm not constipated and I pass stools easily.
Will somebody who has knowledge of what's going on put my mind at ease? I really don't know how to deal with it if I got something stuck in my colon.

The extra kilos that we find so unaesthetic have a way of their own to shape the body and influence health; when located on the buttocks, the hips or the thighs, fat is not such a big problem as it is when wrapping the abdomen. People with fat on the hips are often called pear-shaped while those with a fat belly are apple-shaped.Two types of belly fat can be identified here: the internal or visceral kind that surrounds the internal organs and the subcutaneous one that is found just under the skin.
Several approaches to belly fat are possible, and the most common of them is the use of regular abdominal exercises accompanied by a good diet. Aerobic exercising makes the most efficient weight loss method, which explains the insistence on the integration of such practices in the weekly program. Before you may begin any belly fat loss routine or diet, do learn something about the causes that trigger belly fat accumulation. Another solution is the Seattle HCG Diet plan.
Belly fat is closely related to unhealthy food and eating habits. One can seldom keep a close track of all the calories he/she has during a day. Yet, belly fat loss remains possible! A nutritionist and an aerobic trainer may provide the advice and support you need for a healthy and rewarding weight loss. The tips and suggestions available online or in magazines could also be of help, if pondered well upon. The next solution is the Seattle HCG Diet plan.
Read as much as you can on abdominal exercises in order to understand why you may not have lost belly fat so far. Although it is generally believed that abs training will reduce the fat around the stomach, the efficiency of such exercises is lower than a full-body training routine that accelerates the entire metabolism, triggering good hormonal responses too. And this difference between abs and full-body training is obvious if we remember that there is a close connection between the calories we eat and those we burn.
To refer to diet once again, the food quality is essential for health and fitness alike. There are dozens of revolutionary diets and formulas to melt fat away in no time, but such programs don't provide the body with adequate nutrients. Consequently, concentrate your efforts in the direction of identifying the foods that are good for you both from the nutrition and the weight loss point of view.

Hey All-
I am trying to get healthy...I have started working out, eating healthier (more organic). I am trying to lose weight too (5-10lbs) ..I have allergies so I am going to do a colon cleanse. After the colon cleanse I am going to start on milk Kefir to fill my tummy back up with "good" bacteria....
Quick question about the colon cleanse though, besides purifying your body. I know that you can lose weight. Does this weight come off so that you can feel a difference in your clothes (clothes feeling a little more loose) or only though the scales and I will feel it no where else? What have been your experiences? (I am going to do the 5 day fast colon cleanse through "Blessed Herbs")
Thanks.
where do I get medfive?

Carbohydrates have somehow gotten a bad reputation over the years. While calories in carbs can add up, foods that contain carbs are essential for providing energy, proper body function and adding fiber to the diet. The following is a list of carbohydrate contents found in starches.
list of carbohydrate
When you think "carbohydrate" you probably think of pasta, rice and bread. These are good examples of carbohydrates that can be "good" or "bad." The good kinds are vital to good health and provide good amounts of fiber. These are whole grain rices as well as pastas and breads made from whole grains. The bad varieties are those made from refined flour and refined grains like white rice.
A typical slice of white or wheat bread, mini bagel, croissant or dinner roll (all 1 ounce) contain 15 grams of carbs each. Light and low carb bread have 7-9 grams. Bigger bread products have more: hot dog and hamburger buns pack 20 grams while a bulky sandwich roll has about 30 grams. English muffins and most average size muffins also contain 30g.
Brown and white rice contain 45g per cup (cooked.) Spaghetti and most other pastas provide about 40g, with some smaller varieties, such as small shells, packing 30g. You will find 30g in a cup of cooked oatmeal. Other kinds of cereal will vary in carbs per serving. They could have anywhere for 15 to 45g. Check labels for specifics.
Though the carb content of these starches is equal, the refined and processed (white) versions of these items offer no nutritional value. The fiber and other nutrients are destroyed, leaving the calories empty and sabotaging your health goals.
Diets high in these empty calories tend to lead to obesity, diabetes, heart disease, stroke and Alzheimer's disease. A wise decision is to replace these bad carbs with the good kinds. You will have more energy, feel better and be in better overall health.
